Will look forward to more stories about your collection. This memorable set struck a happy chord with me. My grandmother was an expert sewer (she wouldn't call herself with seamstress)--she relied on Simplicity patterns, and made everything she wore, down to her slips. She left a room full of cloth when she passed at age 88. My regret is that my uncle got rid of all her belongings. I did get some of her embroidery.
I’m sorry to hear about your uncle getting rid of her clothing. That’s incredibly special and one of my favorite aspects about collecting vintage… they become so a part of our stories. Thank you for sharing.
I always love hearing about your vintage pieces, and it was so nice to see them in this new format! 🤍
aunt lawnie is an ICON, i can just tell
